Aaron Foster Breilyn & Luke Martin at the Co-Incidence Festival are happy to announce that applications are now open for the 2019 co-incidence festival!
You can find the application, along with specific details about the nature and logistics of this year's festival, on our website here: http://www.coincidencefestival.com/application.
The Resident Artist for 2019 will be Sarah Ayotomiwa Pitan (https://e4773098889037.tumblr.com/post/177328192246).
As with the previous years, the Festival offers a stipend to attending artists and will take place at Washington Street Art Center in Somerville, MA. It will occur from January 11 - 20, 2019.
Though there are conceptual areas of exploration that are common between iterations of the festival, the attending artists (both guest and resident) are encouraged to influence and even drastically alter the direction and activities of the festival. This year topics of focus will include conversation as artistic labor, mapping as praxis, nomadic movement, and complicity as a mode of critical exchange between others. Please read more on the website!
