Above: The artist with best professorial, Talmudic beard he could muster. The shaving of beards in pedagogic High Fluxus performance art seems to be important to Robert Filliou's and Josef Beuys' process and this focus continues into the Post-flux era. From Robert Delford Brown's First National Church of the Exquisite Panic to George Brecht and Robert Filliou's La Cédille Qui Sourit (the Smiling Cedilla) located in Villefranche-sur-Mer, near Nice, a convivial collaborative space operating on the principles of a gift economy that presented the works and ideas of an international network of friends and collaborators, Bloch will lecture on predecessors to what he recommends as a cure for society's ills through a pedogogical, transformative , 'panmodern' communication system that operates using principles that originated in  Antonin Artaud's Theater of Cruelty and Ray Johnson's New York Correspondence School, of which he was a member from 1978 to 1995.
