Aboriginal concert at Chiang Kai-shek memorial hall - a blend of film backdrop, full orchestra, and aboriginal performances of singing and dancing. The first time i came to Taiwan, Min-Chi introduced me to aboriginal music and some of culture, on a trip to mountain area,... and led me to Kimbo's music, who performed at the concert as well. The day after our concert, at a repeat and last performance, there was dancing in the square outside the hall, and Kimbo was signing autographs - i declined to bother him- though, i did take a picture for my cell phone - / The square at the memorial is massive - the steps to the actual memorial reminded me of the steps to the Dom in Cologne- but, white, instead of black - i consider recently venues for a simple "space defining" piece - i had thought, an indoor space, and met with some people with this in mind -, but, it seemed, that outlet might not be right - Min-Chi mentions off hand why not a park area- i didn't think it at first, but then realize, it is possible, to do public work without permit or difficulty if it is not destructive or invasive - i think, Chiang Kai-shek memorial area - Mickey thinks, yes, it is possible, to perform without a problem - and i am attracted to the scale of the spread, and the backdrop of the buildings - i want to walk, and apply different simple things to lead me around the area - to follow - i think, what an amazing place to walk around - maybe, i e mail people i know in performance, artists, gallery and personal community here - that i will do a permutating walk - so, i find those odd ways to map myself into this world -
