This year's Cambridge River Festival, the Cambridge Arts Council honors the memory of legendary storyteller "Brother Blue." The Festival opens with a procession led by a large-scale puppet of Brother Blue and his iconic butterflies, created by Eric Bornstein of Behind the Mask Theater. The procession starts at 11 a.m. in Winthrop Park in Harvard Square (JFK St. and Mt. Auburn St.) and processes along JFK St. to the Charles River. Grant Smith will be parading with Revels and Bread and Puppet people from Winthrop Park in Harvard Square (in front of Peet's coffee) to the Weeks pedestrian bridge on the river.
Wear Blue for Brother Blue--- there will be a short memorial on the bridge for him.
