"I'm a photographer who creates work by combining two photographs together to express a focused idea or concept. The current body of work that I have explores how humans communicate with nature and the environment through construction and development. Two images, one of a portion of a construction vehicle and one of a scene from nature, are combined so that the composition and lighting match making it difficult to tell that the final image is in fact two separate images."

"My designs are inspired by growing up and sharing a small farm in Vermont with nine other orphaned children and very few toys to play with. Using my imagination and found materials I created a world of characters that I loved to play with. Like you, each and everyone of my designs have their own story to tell. Best, Netty"

We travel through our lives leaving fragmented evidence in our wake. The traces accumulate behind us. Windward, Celebration andLooking Backwards are made from stitched postcards, which are tangible records of voices from the past, written in a medium that is falling out of use. The cards are stitched together with delicate thread to create interplay of air, space, light and implied motion.
