“Reflections” is an exhibition that maps the city of Easthampton, MA, created by Burns Maxey and Maggie Nowinski. There will be a sound and video installation that projects large-scale videos of constructed conversations between eight community members. The work also tracks the selected characters’ daily lives through photographs, and includes correspondence between the two artists via postcards over a 6-month period. The opening evening will include a performance by the artists using large-scale Sanborn maps and creating a visual journey of these Easthamptonite’s paths.
