Call for Works:
DEADLINE: MAY 1, 2010
4x6 Postcards/Works on the theme: SURREALESTATE
Fundraiser and art bash: Mobius Artrages 2010.
Mobius is having a huge fundraiser art/party/bash event which will take place on May 8th, 2010 with performances, installations and whatever we can do to prostitute ourselves to make money (-:
DETAILS ABOUT THE CALL:
This call is for SINGLE PHYSICAL CARDS (that is, not 500 copies of the same card and not just a jpeg file), signed, with something written on the back (a secret message about Surrealestate) A 4x6 postcard with one side containing your artwork and the other side with a handwritten or printed or typed word/sentence/phrase -anything you would like to say - in ANY LANGUAGE - related to Surrealestate.
Your handwritten signature somewhere would be greatly appreciated!
What surrealestate means to you is completely open.
The cards will be exhibited and then sold or used as prizes during Mobius Artrages 2010.
All materials will be accepted - the DEADLINE IS MAY 1ST, 2010 to allow a week to organize the cards for the exhibition.
No materials will be returned, the works will be considered 100% donations to Mobius, Inc.
The theme for Artrages 2010: SURREALESTATE was thought up by one of Mobius' board members Lou Susi who is a performance and visual artist himself
Note a loose connection to ABAD (A Book About Death) which inspired this call for works - in the US, we have something called an "Estate Sale" wherein the property and/or belongings of the dead are sold.

Just changed link to facebook Call for Works so that non-Facebook users can also RSVP to the event and view photos of artwork submitted so far without having to sign up for Facebook.

(**) If you are on Facebook, you should be able to upload a new photo or use a photo you already uploaded onto Facebook by clicking on Add Photos.
To find Add Photos clickable field, look in the Photos section below, on the right side you should see two clickable fields: Add Photos | See All). If you aren't seeing those fields or run into trouble with this,

Might be a snafu in the system

ABOUT "ATTENDING"/"NOT ATTENDING"/"MAYBE":
I always find this confusing on facebook so hopefully this makes some sense: If you are submitting work, please list yourself as "ATTENDING" even if you aren't physically going to be in Boston for Mobius Artrages 2010 - and feel free to say you are attending if you are attending in spirit ... what the hey (-:

During the Middle Ages the
During the Middle Ages the word artist already existed in some countries such as Italy, but the meaning was something resembling craftsman, while the word artesan was still unknown. An artist was someone able to do a work better than others, so the skilled excellency was underlined, ccna voice dumps rather than the activity field. In this period some "artisanal" products (such as textiles) were much more precious and expensive than paintings or sculptures.
