Human Cost of War, conclusion after two years, wins awards

If you have been following our event announcements regularly, then you are probably aware that this is the last week of Joanne Rice's two-year performance, the Human Cost of War, at noon each day, with next Tuesday the 6th the final day. Today we received an email from a writer at the Back Bay Examiner, Deborah Lee, who sent us a link to her article.

I also received today in my own email the press release notification from the Tanne Foundation about the award Joanne recently received.  And last Monday, a notification arrived from the Boston Foundation about a special event "honoring the first nominees and recipients of the Brother Marks Fellowship Awards. "  And who is one of the nominees, but Joanne Rice !!? The ceremony is Tuesday, October 13 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the Boston Foundation. I just noticed too that Joanne is an "editor's pick" from the Phoenix for the upcoming week.

I'm not going to over or understate the importance of awards and media. I do however want to acknowledge the number and convergence of them now. This isn't the last we will hear about Joanne and her work. Though with these acknowledgments coming thus far, I want to wish her my congratulations and share my appreciation as well, as I hope you do too.

best regards,

Jed Speare
Director
